Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) invites current and potential resident companies to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to become a resident company for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. This EOI process aims to identify companies that align with RPAC’s strategic goals, enhancing cultural, educational, and commercial value for the community of Redlands Coast.
Instructions
- Please complete the form below to apply for residency at RPAC. Your responses will help us understand your artistic vision, growth strategy, community engagement, professional capacity, ability to collaborate, financial viability, and plans for evaluating impact.
- We are seeking a symbiotic relationship with partners through a two-year rolling agreement, reviewed annually. We aim to build a partnership where RPAC supports your organisational goals, and your organisation contributes to Redland City Council's Creative Arts Service Strategic Plan 2024-2029 priorities: Engagement, Partnerships, Spaces & Sustainability.

Objectives
RPAC seeks resident companies that demonstrate all or some of the following:
- Strong alignment with RPAC’s strategic goals.
- A commitment to providing cultural enrichment to Redlands Coast.
- Contributions to the professional development of the arts in Redland.
- Engagement and expansion of diverse audiences.
- Commercial viability and potential for revenue generation.
- Educational contributions through program offerings.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current Residency Status: Applicants can be an existing resident company or new applicant.

Business Status: Applicants must operate under a recognised business structure, excluding sole traders. Acceptable business structures include: Incorporated associations, Companies (including private, public, or not-for-profit entities), Partnerships, Cooperatives, Trusts (with a corporate trustee).

Legal Entity: The organisation must be a legally registered entity in Australia and hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN).

Financial Standing: Applicants must demonstrate sound financial management and sustainability through annual reports or financial statements.
Assessment Criteria

Alignment with Creative Arts Service Strategic Plan.

Organisational capacity to meet KPIs and deliver community value.

Proposed deliverables and feasibility of partnership terms.
Key Dates
- EOI Opens: 13 December 2024
- EOI Closes: 1 April 2025
- First Round Review (From 1 April 2025): The assessment panel will review all submitted applications. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for interviews to discuss partnership opportunities. Proposals will be assessed based on their alignment with the Creative Arts Service Strategy, including mutual expectations.
- Second Round Review (By 1 May 2025): Gather feedback on partnership offers. Negotiate terms and finalise agreements. Draft and execute contracts.
- Announcement: 1 June 2025
- Pre-Residency Preparations: June 2025 – January 2026
- Residency Start: 1 January 2026
